Once-in-a-Lifetime Find: Berlin Dig Uncovers 13th-Century Silver Coins

State conservator Rauhut says the 4m-deep, 22,000m² excavation is one of Germany’s largest urban digs. It will continue until 2027, after which a new residential quarter will be built.
